Teaching children and teens to sew is just a joy ! We don’t just sew, we learn how to draw with the sewing machine and by hand, quilt, embellish, print on fabrics with transfer paint and acrylics, dye fabrics and so much more. All in all the Junior/Teen GillyMac Classes are offered to develop an appreciation of textile art in many forms – and the children get so good at it ! For the older girls, the classes also support their GCSE Tetiles classes with awesome results.
This Summer, all the class entries, from the three regular GillyMac classes were awarded ‘Highly Commended’ at the Festival of Quilt. This is an amazing achievement by the girls.
There are classes which run each week at the GillyMac Studio, and now there are also one off classes which are added from time to time which cover many different techniques. Below you will find details of both class schedules.
